Charlotte Fellows
Charlotte, North Carolina
Program Description
The Charlotte Fellows is a nine-month post-graduate fellowship that exists to equip recent college graduates to live out their faith in all aspects of life and begin to discern God’s calling on their lives. Charlotte Fellows graduates will complete their nine months having cultivated a much more expansive view of the gospel, deeply impacting the ways in which they work, build relationships, serve their community, and engage their local church.
The Charlotte Fellows is tailored toward men and women who either feel that God is preparing them for a career in the marketplace or wrestling with calling altogether. If you've ever thought to yourself, "I desire to live out my faith in my professional career, but I don't know what that should or could look like," the Charlotte Fellows Program is for you!
Each Charlotte Fellow lives with a host family, works a 3-day paid internship, meets regularly with a mentor, receives professional vocational counseling and development, serves one morning every week at Brookstone School (a K-6 private Christian school for low income families), spends Friday mornings touring local non-profits that are serving Charlotte, is a part of the local church, grows in knowledge of what Scripture says about culture making through theological coursework, engages in weekly Roundtable nights with community leaders from various backgrounds, and builds lasting relationships within the Charlotte Fellows community. Charlotte Fellows will also take several weekend retreats, including the National Fellows Conference in Washington D.C. and the Vocational Discernment weekend in Panama City Beach, FL with other Fellows programs.
Our Charlotte Fellows community is made up of talented and creative people who are excited to pour into recent college grads, and Charlotte is a great city—an ideal place to spend nine months cultivating this Christ-centered foundation for your adult life. Not wanting to leave their supportive community and professional network, many Charlotte Fellows graduates choose to stay and live in Charlotte among the vast number of young professionals. Known as the “Queen City,” Charlotte is a bigger city with a small town feel. We would love to have you come for a visit to get a feel for life as a Charlotte Fellow. Looking forward to hearing from you!
